Kirk Stackle grew up in San Diego. After excelling in age group swimming he headed to Austin, Texas to swim for Eddie Reese and Kris Kubik at the University of Texas. Under the program, Kirk enjoyed great success winning 3 team and 3 individual national championships, becoming a 16 time All American and achieving a berth on the 1988 Olympic team in the 200 breaststroke. In 1990, Kirk held his highest ranking as second in the world in the 200 breaststroke and third in the world in the 100 breaststroke after an outstanding Goodwill Games showing.

Kirk knows what enabled his success was not only hard work and commitment, but it was anchored in having had the opportunity to train under incredible age group coaches and legendary college coaches.  He truly enjoys imparting all that he has learned to help others reach their goals – whether that is making a cut to go to the next level meet or making that high school or college team of your dreams or focusing on increasing proficiency to make your next triathlon or cross-fit challenge your best ever. Kirk is a ASCA level 2;3 certified coach as well as a USMS level 2 certified coach.
